About
Tami Stewart has worked in the museum field since 1987.
For much of her career she's been an established model maker, contributing to exhibits in museums, zoos, and visitor centers near and far. Her fabrication skills range from sculpture and painting to mold-making. Projects include dioramas, animals, insects, botanicals, human figures, land forms, and scale models. She has worked solo and as a team lead, taking projects from concept to installation.
In 2012 Tami transitioned to the front end of exhibit development. As dictated by the demands of each project, she has held roles as interpretive planner, content researcher, project manager, and writer. Working independently, she teams with museum professionals and designers to create engaging educational exhibits for science, natural history, and culture museums.
She currently splits her time between model making and exhibit development.
